The 2011-2012 Basketball Season will be Cardinal Season

Well, fellow bloggers, benchers, bleachers, fans, whatever you wish to be called; it is official that the Louisville Cardinals have lost their chance for championship gold. Fans are disappointed, babies are crying, and Morehead State is laughing their heads off at the so called, Cinderella Team of the season. This does not matter though, for there is always next season, and what a season it should be! You see, the Louisville Cardinals will take home gold next season for various reasons, whether it be their defense or their depth, but the main reason is their recruiting class. The Cardinals have Wayne Blackshear coming in, who is a major factor in his high-school team’s offense, and can easily take Preston Knowles’ place as main offensive three-point shooter.  We have Chane Behanan who is another great player, and is a power forward (big man), which is great for the Cardinals because they need more big man to win games. Finally we have a fantastic center named Zach Price coming in, someone who can easily replace Jennings in the years to come. Two of these players, Chane Behanan and Wayne Blackshear, are McDonalds All-Americans and all three of them are in the ESPNU 100.
Now, add those factors in, along with returning players from this year such as: Kyle Kuric, Peyton Siva, Terrence Jennings, Gourgie Dieng, Mike Marra, Elisha Justice, Chris Smith Steven Van Tresse, and a returning Jared Swopshire. With a team looking like that, there is no telling what they can accomplish next year; who knows, they might even get a possible number one seed in the tournament next year. This roster is made of very consistent and athletic players, who will mainly look to press in order to force turnovers, similar to this year’s team. The difference is, next season’s team will be better on offense and possibly defense. This is a great thing for Louisville and with all my heart I hope that they do something big next year. Good luck Cards, and think you for the great season!

Best Pay-Per-View of 2010???

What pay-per-view was the best pay-per-view of 2011? Was it Summerslam, I don’t think so, how about Night of Champions…not even close. In fact the best pay-per-view of 2011 was an original concept just introduced last year. Concepts known as Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, below are my reasons for picking such a great, action-filled, pay-per-view.
Firstly, the pay-per-view itself was up to par on WWE’s old standards. The pay-per-view received reception like none other before it, except for Wrestlemania, and was well worth anybody’s money that paid for it. The matches were great and action filled, and this pay-per-view possible had the best match of 2010, the Smackdown main event match.  Who doesn’t want to see three main-eventers and one up and coming superstar battle it out for the WHC in a fatal four way ladder match. Not only that, but the crowd was ecstatic and the match card was set up to perfection.
Secondly, I would like to point out that even the Divas got time for their match. The divas match on this card was Natayla vs. Laycool in a one-on-two handicap ladders match.  This match was great, and just when it seemed like Laycool was going to win, Natayla would turn the match around just a split second before going through the custom-made table, which just added more fun to this match. You know a pay-per-view is good when WWE gives time to the Divas!!!
Thirdly, I would like to point out about how all of the feuds between WWE Superstars and Divas were ended at this pay-per-view. Wade Barrett vs. John Cena was ended at this pay-per-view along with Kane vs. Edge, and Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio. This brought up the suspension a ton, as people could hardly wait to see the results of each feud match. Who doesn’t like a great feud?
For my fourth reason I would like to state that this Pay-Per-View pushed so many WWE Superstars to the next level. Firstly it pushed Alberto Del Rio to where he is now, by making him seem like a contender for the WHC championship. Secondly, it pushed The Miz as a credible champion by having him defeat Randy Orton not once, but twice. Wade Barrett also got pushed greatly, even though he lost his respective match, by making it seem like he could very well defeat John Cena in his coming back pay-Per-View Match. John Morrison and Sheamus both greatly got pushed by having their ladder match, and Natayla got a push by seeming like a credible champion, by defeating team Laycool. Who doesn’t like a good push, well I know I do!
Fifthly, this is one gimmick pay-per-view that actually works, normally it is just a pay-pay-view filled with boring and predictable gimmick matches, such as Fatal Four Way, but instead this Pay-Per-View was filled with unpredictable gimmick matches, such as Hell in a Cell of last year. WWE can go far with pay-per-view which makes it even better!
Sixthly, and finally, this is one pay-per-view that has room for improvement as it is still young and in stages of development. This greatly increases and helps the quality of the Pay-Per-View, and based on the pay-per-view in 2010, I will most defiantly be ordering it this year!
In conclusion, the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view is the best pay-per-view of the year 2010, and perhaps the best pay-per-view of the past two years. It had fun filled matches and pushed many young superstars. This pay-per-view was as god as the Superbowl, no wait, it was BETTER than the Superbowl!

Twas' The Raw Before Christmas- The Detailed WWE Raw Review

Intro-
In the intro we see The Miz come to celebrate his successfull title defense, but was interupted by Alex Riley, oops, I mean by the Ghost of Christmas Past. He showed the Miz defeat Jerry the King Lawler. Next came the Ghost of Christmas Present, also known as Michael Cole. He realy didn't have anything to say or show of importance and was followed by the Ghost of Christmas Future, AKA Crazy Miz Girl. First off let me say that she pretty much said that JoMo was going to beat Miz at the Rumble. Possibly by DQ, at least that is what she hinted. Next comes a GM message that says our fabulouse main event. Randy Orton, Jerry Lawler, and John Morrison vs. The Miz, Alex Riley, and Shaemus.

Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match for the Divas' Championship-Melina vs. Alicia Fox vs. Eve

Wow, already a Divas' match. What a way to kick off Monday Night Raw. Anyways this match is actually promising as the Divas in it are all very skilled. In the beggining of the match everything takes on a frantic pace with all three Divas having their moments. The match was short of course, but was longer than most Divas matches. We see an awsome ending as Melina picks up the victory! And to make things better she turns heel as she slaps Natalya who gets in the ring to tell her congrats.

Winner-Melina

Singles Match-Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal

Well, this match looks promising, then again all of Daniel Bryan's matches look promising. This was a very well executed match, with a lot of great moments. Also it was great to see William Regal  on Raw again, and he sure as heck does deliver when he gets a big match. Daniel Bryan of course did his best to make the match even more entertaining and got the victory.

Winner-Daniel Bryan

Promo-

Backstage we see a flurry of promos as we are met with JoMo and Randy Ortong exchanging a few words. Put this way, never trust a viper, as Randy Orton puts it. Elsewhere, we are greeted with the sight of Tamina standing on Santinoes back, while he laying face down on the floor(don't ask, as I have no idea why). Maryse  comes into the room and proceeds to get into an argument with Tamina on top of Santino. Two securtiy peeps come out and carry them off to timeout.

Rating-4.5/10

Tag Team Match-Santino and Tamina vs. Te Dibiase JR and Maryse

This was a fun match, but was extremly quick. We saw Ted quickly gain the uphand and continuosly beat on Santino, but eventually Santino turned it around. Ted taged in maryse who countered Santino's Cobra and used against him, while Tamina comes in and picks up the win.

Winner-Santino and Tamina

Promo-

John Cena walks out into the ring and talks about how he is excited and happy that he finally got Nexus off his back for one night!!! For one whole night, insane! Anyways, this is an extremely long promo, so I am going to go through it pretty fast. Cena shows his happiness by hugging a fan that has a "We Hate John Cena" T-Shirt. While, Cena is talking Dolph Ziggler and John Cena come out. How many times do we have to hear that whole "Excuse Me" before the crowd shuts up??? I will give Vickie the benefit of the doubt though. Sehe does her job well, as she is the only heel that I don't like! Well anyways, Jerry Lawler and Cena makes some funny one-liners about Vickie being fat. Yes, Cena actualy proved to be funny!!!! Well, supposedly Vickie got ticked and said something along the lines of, "My boyfriend is going to beat you up." and you all know how that ends. GM announces Ziggle vs. Cena for tonight.

Rating-8.5/10

Singles Match-John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

This was an interesting match as we see Dolph Ziggler and John Cena go back and forth between the match, especially in the early part of the match. John Cena picks Dolph up for the AA, but Dolph counters it and goes for the sleeper hold, which Cena counters into the ultimate submission hold ever invented by Doink the Clown, the STF. Anyways, Dolph taps out, but Vickie distracted the reflong enough to have him no lose. Cena gets hit with the zig-zag, but kicks out, and gets Ziggler up for the AA and hits it for the 3-count.
After the match CM Punk comes and hits John Cena with a steel chair...hmmm possible fued in the making : ), hopefully Punk will stay in commentary though.

Winner-John Cena

Six-Man Tag Team Match-The Miz, Alex Riley, and Sheamus vs. Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and John Morrison

This was a fiarly entertaining match, that ended predictably. I am not going to review this in detail and instead am going to skip straight to the end, which saw Randy Orton RKO'ing The Miz, and Jerry Lawler picking up the win.

Winner-Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and John Morrison
