Twas' The Raw Before Christmas- The Detailed WWE Raw Review

Intro-
In the intro we see The Miz come to celebrate his successfull title defense, but was interupted by Alex Riley, oops, I mean by the Ghost of Christmas Past. He showed the Miz defeat Jerry the King Lawler. Next came the Ghost of Christmas Present, also known as Michael Cole. He realy didn't have anything to say or show of importance and was followed by the Ghost of Christmas Future, AKA Crazy Miz Girl. First off let me say that she pretty much said that JoMo was going to beat Miz at the Rumble. Possibly by DQ, at least that is what she hinted. Next comes a GM message that says our fabulouse main event. Randy Orton, Jerry Lawler, and John Morrison vs. The Miz, Alex Riley, and Shaemus.

Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match for the Divas' Championship-Melina vs. Alicia Fox vs. Eve

Wow, already a Divas' match. What a way to kick off Monday Night Raw. Anyways this match is actually promising as the Divas in it are all very skilled. In the beggining of the match everything takes on a frantic pace with all three Divas having their moments. The match was short of course, but was longer than most Divas matches. We see an awsome ending as Melina picks up the victory! And to make things better she turns heel as she slaps Natalya who gets in the ring to tell her congrats.

Winner-Melina
Rating-4/10

Singles Match-Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal

Well, this match looks promising, then again all of Daniel Bryan's matches look promising. This was a very well executed match, with a lot of great moments. Also it was great to see William Regal  on Raw again, and he sure as heck does deliver when he gets a big match. Daniel Bryan of course did his best to make the match even more entertaining and got the victory.

Winner-Daniel Bryan
Rating-8/10

Promo-

Backstage we see a flurry of promos as we are met with JoMo and Randy Ortong exchanging a few words. Put this way, never trust a viper, as Randy Orton puts it. Elsewhere, we are greeted with the sight of Tamina standing on Santinoes back, while he laying face down on the floor(don't ask, as I have no idea why). Maryse  comes into the room and proceeds to get into an argument with Tamina on top of Santino. Two securtiy peeps come out and carry them off to timeout.

Rating-4.5/10

Tag Team Match-Santino and Tamina vs. Te Dibiase JR and Maryse

This was a fun match, but was extremly quick. We saw Ted quickly gain the uphand and continuosly beat on Santino, but eventually Santino turned it around. Ted taged in maryse who countered Santino's Cobra and used against him, while Tamina comes in and picks up the win.

Winner-Santino and Tamina
Rating-6/10

Promo-

John Cena walks out into the ring and talks about how he is excited and happy that he finally got Nexus off his back for one night!!! For one whole night, insane! Anyways, this is an extremely long promo, so I am going to go through it pretty fast. Cena shows his happiness by hugging a fan that has a "We Hate John Cena" T-Shirt. While, Cena is talking Dolph Ziggler and John Cena come out. How many times do we have to hear that whole "Excuse Me" before the crowd shuts up??? I will give Vickie the benefit of the doubt though. Sehe does her job well, as she is the only heel that I don't like! Well anyways, Jerry Lawler and Cena makes some funny one-liners about Vickie being fat. Yes, Cena actualy proved to be funny!!!! Well, supposedly Vickie got ticked and said something along the lines of, "My boyfriend is going to beat you up." and you all know how that ends. GM announces Ziggle vs. Cena for tonight.

Rating-8.5/10

Singles Match-John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler

This was an interesting match as we see Dolph Ziggler and John Cena go back and forth between the match, especially in the early part of the match. John Cena picks Dolph up for the AA, but Dolph counters it and goes for the sleeper hold, which Cena counters into the ultimate submission hold ever invented by Doink the Clown, the STF. Anyways, Dolph taps out, but Vickie distracted the reflong enough to have him no lose. Cena gets hit with the zig-zag, but kicks out, and gets Ziggler up for the AA and hits it for the 3-count.
After the match CM Punk comes and hits John Cena with a steel chair...hmmm possible fued in the making : ), hopefully Punk will stay in commentary though.

Winner-John Cena
Rating-7.5/10

Six-Man Tag Team Match-The Miz, Alex Riley, and Sheamus vs. Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and John Morrison

This was a fiarly entertaining match, that ended predictably. I am not going to review this in detail and instead am going to skip straight to the end, which saw Randy Orton RKO'ing The Miz, and Jerry Lawler picking up the win.

Winner-Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and John Morrison
Rating-6/10

Bruised, Broken, and Destroyed-The Detailed TLC Review

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match-Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler(C)

Tables, Ladders, and Chairs started off with a kick. We had a mat-based wrestler, a high-flier, and a cheat. This match started off well enough with the usual vibe of a WWE match. Both Swagger and Kingston double teamed on Dolph at the beginning of the match, but that didn't last long as they soon butted heads and got into their own little tussle. Now as all ladder matches, this one was fast-paced and had alot of action in it. It was also extremely suspenseful and had a very unexpected ending, as both Swagger and Kofi knocked the title down, only to have Dolph scurry under the ladder and pick it up.
Winner-Dolph Ziggler
Rating-7/10

Divas' Two-on-Two Tornado Tag Tables Match-LayCool vs. Beth Phoenix and Natalya

Well, you can pretty-much say that the event slowed down a bit with this match. I was rooting for Layla, not Michelle, all the way, but alas the team of Beth and Natalya proved to be to strong. This was fairly entertaining for a Divas' match and did keep me glued to the television, although I did go to the restroom once as usual during Divas' matches. All in all the ending was extremely predictable and non-suspenseful.
Winner-Beth Phoenix and Natalya
Rating-4.5/10(High for a Divas' Match!)

Number One Contenders Ladder Match-John Morrison vs. Sheamus

See, what I did there, its pale white for Sheamus!!!! Anyways, this is arguably the best match of the night as it was suspenseful, fast paced and slow paced at the right times, painful to watch at times, and unpredictable as the match went up and down for both competitors. I will say that this is the first match of the night were the result made me happy. This match had many great moments, and could have been a match at Wrestlemania, as it was so good.
Winner-John Morrison
Rating-9.5/10

WWE Championship Tables Match-The Miz(C) vs. Randy Orton

This was a fun match between the champion and former champion. As you could guess, The Miz's apprentice Alex Riley got involved, but found himself being smashed through a table and RKO'ed for his troubles. This match ended in the Miz retaining through cheap methods as he did his finisher to Randy and moved Alex Riley's lifeless body out of they way and replaced it with Randy's while the ref was down.
Winner-The Miz
Rating-8/10

WWE Championship Tables Match-The Miz(C) vs. Randy Orton

Didn't I just review this, you may be asking yourself, well guess what, I didn't. You see, it turns out our friend, the Ref, looked at the replay and saw The Miz's cheap methods to win and called for the match to be restarted. Well, things got started fast with Randy Orton dominating for a whole thirty seconds before getting smashed through a table. Way too short and pointless as the result was the same as before.
Winner-The Miz
Rating-2.5/10

Tag Team Championship Match-Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater vs. Santino and Kozlov

This match was mainly added to the card so that it could push the whole, "This is what I am going to do to Cena tonight." storyline. The match was a short match that had Kozlov and Santino retaining. After the match Nexus does their usual thing by beating up poor Kozlov and Santino and Barrett shows us what he is going to do to Cena later.
Winner-Santino and Kozlov by DQ
Rating-5/10

World Heavyweight Championship TLC Match-Kane(C) vs. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio

This was a great match, and ties John Morrison vs. Sheamus for match of the night. You see, this match could of easily been a 10/10, but it was extremely predictable. Everybody knew that they were going have Edge win, and in the promo before the match they showed Kane as being one of the thirty men in the Rumble. The current champion can't be in the Rumble!!! They gave it away, so it brought it down half a rating. The match itself had its moments, and hopefully Kane will win the Rumble, so I can forgive Edge for taking the WHC away from my favorite heel, Kane!
Winner-Edge
Rating-9.5/10

One-on-One Chairs Match-John Cena vs. Wade Barrett

Yawn...another predictable match, and not that fun to watch either. The match started off extremely slowly, so slow that I almost fell to sleep. It got a little better after that, but once again John Cena failed to act like he was injured even after being hit with a steel in the gut two times and on the back once. I mean seriously, the guy was being choked with a steel chair and still got up like it was nothing! I like the guy, but if he won't even sell an injury then I don't know if I should. Anyways, enough of my ranting. This was an average match overall with Cena picking up the win.
Winner-John Cena
Rating-5/10

Overall Rating-7.5/10(Great)

Louisville Cardinals: The Cinderella Team?

The Louisville Cardinals of this year may be the Butlers of last. You see, no-one thought that the Cardinals would be ranked number 20-21, or even close to be ranked at all! Why this is will be esplained in detail.

You see, the Louisville Cardinals of last season were a let-down. After their great 2008-2009 season, they failed miserably to bring the fans anything to brag about(except of rhtier final game a Freedom Hall). You see, the Cardinals had lost their two top scorers, Earl Clark and Terrence Williams, yet still were picked to be ranked 17th in the preseason poll. The selection commitee couldn't have made a worse mistake.
The team proved that they couldn't work together, and that they couldn't put together any kind of defense. I don't want to bring all the blame down of Edgar Sosa, but he was one of the biggest ball hogs in Louisville basketball history. You see, Edgar Sosa consitently took bad shots and Pitino never took him out of a game. Now anyways, I am getting off track. Let's take a look at this season's team.

The 2010-2011 Louisville were expected to be even worse than last season's team. Not only did they lose Edgar Sosa(whom was our top scorer), but they also lost Samuels(who left to go to the NBA draft). Not only that, but the Cardinals' recruiting class was ranked a C- by ESPN and a C by CNN. They were never suppose to be ranked this year, and were most defiently not suppose to be undefeated against top 25 ranked teams or even have a 9-1 record. The whole world was shocked when they defeated rank 18 Butler in their first game(NOTE: Butler is no longer ranked). Then they shocked the World again when they defeated ranked 19 UNLV to become ranked 21(NOTE: UNLV is ranked 21 now).

As you can see, Louisville already has a huge resume going for them, and it probably will only get better from here. If Louisville can keep running their oppenets then they could possibly be ranked number two-three by the NCAA tournament. Could Lousiville be the Cinderella Team of the year? Maybe, maybe not? Only time will tell.

The Crowd.
